The Jim Clark racing chrono…
This is a very rare and cool large-size waterproof steel chronograph from the 1950s. These Gallet Multichrons were essentially built for professional applications such as motor racing or military use. This example is called the “Jim Clark” as this exact reference with black dial was worn by the British Formula 1 legend whilst racing and was an official partnership between the brand and the champion driver.
The dial is incredible and has turned a wonderful tropical brown colour that looks super cool with the radium hands. The dial has two scales – a tachymeter and a telemeter. Finding these watches is difficult in really great condition, especially when they have these screw caseback waterproof
