This is a rare US version of the JLC Polaris – a diver’s Memovox. The watch used the alarm function to tell the diver he needed to return to the surface., so cool ! The word ‘Memovox’ was invented by Jaeger Le Coultre and is an amalgamation of two Latin words. Memor, which means remembering and Vox, which means voice. This is a rare example with the movement and dial signed LeCoultre only and then that dial…Tropical love!
This watch is housed in a large size waterproof case with three crowns – one to wind and set the watch, one to wind and set the alarm and the other to rotate the bezel. As with the whole watch, the dial is in beautiful original condition, with a tropical brown dial with black outer bezel and black inner rotating disc. The watch comes on the pictured Tropic sblack rubber strap that resembles the vintage Tropic strap on which these watches were often worn. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
We would love to discuss this funky diver with you, either here at the lounge or on a call. Get in touch!
